Flash 501

1959

From another batch of Atlanta, Ga NRC's custom job, which included Botie Quinn and the Top Hats on Reed, Johnny Wortham on Peach, Tommy Roe and the Satins on Mark IV and The Spades on Super.
In the September 14, 1959 issue of Billboard, Boots Woodall ( of the National Recording Corporation ) announced the set up of the NRC's own pressing plant equiped with ten presses imported from Italy.  But NRC experienced some technical problems with these presses, so they had to resort to another plant for pressing their records.

Both sides are written by Mike Chotas, whose wife Betty Logan was a performer and recording artist, first as one half of The Logan Sisters and then on Stars, Academy, ABC-Paramount, Fairlane, Decca.  She also recorded with Charles "Chuck" Simmons as Chuck and Betty on Decca in the late fifties.

We may never known who was little Debbie. Perhaps a member of the Logan family ?
